Harder Hall

Harder Hall is a historic former hotel located in Sebring, Florida, on the shores of Lake Jackson. Built in 1927, it was designed by renowned architect William Manly King and was once considered one of Florida's premier hotels, hosting high society events and notable guests such as Steve McQueen and Paul Newman. The hotel featured Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, luxurious amenities, and was a hub for activities like golfing and boating. It played a significant role in the social scene of Sebring, especially during the famous 12 Hours of Sebring race. After closing in 1986, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 and was purchased in 2022 by former city council member Robert G. Blackmon, marking a new chapter in its storied history.
