Woodmere Art Museum's focus on regional artists

Woodmere Art Museum, founded in 1940 in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood, collects and exhibits art by artists of the greater Philadelphia region. Its permanent collection comprises more than 4,000 paintings, sculptures, photographs, and works on paper spanning the 18th century to the present. Woodmere presents rotating exhibitions and educational programs emphasizing Philadelphia-area artistic practice and history.
