Guangzhou Circle

Guangzhou Circle is a striking landmark in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, China, known for its unique circular design and cultural significance. Designed by Italian architect Joseph di Pasquale, this 138-meter tall building serves as the headquarters for the Hongda Xingye Group and the Guangdong Plastic Exchange, the largest trading center for raw plastic materials globally. The building's design is inspired by Chinese symbolism, particularly the jade bi-disc, representing prosperity and infinity in Chinese culture. Located along the Pearl River, it features an open central core and is recognized as the world's tallest circular building. Although public access is limited, the surrounding plaza and fountain are open for visitors. Since its completion, the Guangzhou Circle has gained recognition as one of the most iconic and intriguing structures in the city, even being listed by CNN as one of the world's ten most interesting buildings.
