Parson Thorne Mansion

Parson Thorne Mansion, also known as Silver Hill, is a historic Georgian-style mansion located in Milford, Delaware. Built between 1730 and 1735, this two-story brick dwelling features a distinctive steeply pitched cross-gable roof and was remodeled in 1879. The mansion has historical significance as the residence of Delaware Governor William Burton and the boyhood home of statesman John M. Clayton. Recognized for its architectural and historical value, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
