Dubuque YMCA Building

The Dubuque YMCA Building, also known as the Iowa Inn, is a historic site in Dubuque, Iowa, notable for being one of the first YMCA chapters established west of the Mississippi River in 1857. The building showcases architectural styles from the Romanesque Revival to Neoclassical and Commercial styles, reflecting the evolution of YMCA facilities over the years. After serving the community until 1969, it transitioned into the Iowa Inn for low-income housing and was later renovated into the Henry Stout Apartments for seniors. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
