Palace of Fine Arts (1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition structure)

The Palace of Fine Arts was originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and is one of the few surviving exposition structures in San Francisco. Although its original materials were temporary, the rotunda and colonnades were reconstructed and stabilized in the 1960s–1970s and restored again later to preserve the site. The lagoon, classical colonnade, and exhibition spaces remain a prominent example of early 20th-century exposition architecture and infrastructure in the city.
