Net Loft

The Net Loft is a historic Grade II listed building perched atop Peak Rock at the entrance of Polperro Harbour in Cornwall, England. Originally a storage facility for fishing nets and sails, it is believed to have been built on the site of a 19th-century chapel for local fishermen. The building showcases typical harbour-side vernacular architecture, constructed from local stone with a simple rectangular design and large wooden doors facing the sea. After falling into disuse following the decline of pilchard fishing, it was restored by the National Trust in 2015-16. The Net Loft is a notable landmark along the South West Coast Path, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers exploring the coastal heritage of Cornwall.
