Thayet Thapin airstrike

The Thayet Thapin airstrike conducted by the Tatmadaw, the military of Myanmar, on 12 September 2025, targeted two private boarding schools - Pyinnyar Pan Khinn and A Myin Thit - in Thayet Ta Pin village, Kyauktaw Township, Rakhine State. The attack occurred around 1:00 a.m. local time, reportedly while students were asleep in their dormitories. The attack resulted in a death toll of 22 students aged between 14 and 21, and wounded 22 more.
