Harlow C. Curtiss Building

The Harlow C. Curtiss Building is a historic commercial structure located in Buffalo, New York, notable for its terra cotta design reminiscent of Chicago architectural greats like Daniel Burnham and Louis Sullivan. Completed in 1913, it originally housed various tenants including the Kittinger Furniture Company and was vacant by the early 1990s. In 2008, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and underwent an $18+ million renovation to become the 'Curtiss Hotel', Buffalo's only 5-star hotel. The hotel features 68 rooms, a unique revolving bar called 'Chez Ami', and Buffalo's first all-weather urban hot springs, making it a fascinating destination for tourists and researchers alike.
