Westbourne Mansion

Westbourne Mansion, located at 25 Gilstead Road in Novena, Singapore, is a historic mansion built in 1927 that showcases Neo-Classical architecture. Originally the residence of physician Dr. Yin Suat Chuan, it later became the family home of Leslie Charteris, the famous author of 'The Saint'. The mansion has a rich history, having served various purposes including a headquarters for the German navy during World War II and later as the Field House for the Spastic Children's Association of Singapore until 2003. Currently managed by the Singapore Land Authority, plans are underway to adapt the mansion into a co-living space with modern amenities while preserving its historical significance.
