United States Post Office–Meriden Main

The United States Post Office–Meriden Main, located at 89 Colony Street in Meriden, Connecticut, is a historic building completed in 1909 and designed by architect James Knox Taylor. This striking example of Beaux Arts architecture features a two-story masonry structure with a granite foundation, fluted Corinthian columns, and an ornate entrance. The interior boasts terrazzo marble flooring and murals that celebrate the city's history. Although it no longer serves as the main post office, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 and remains a significant architectural landmark in the Colony Street-West Main Street Historic District.
