Rododafni Castle

Rododafni Castle, located in Penteli, Greece, is a neo-gothical palace originally intended as a summer residence for Sophie de Marbois-Lebrun, Duchess of Plaisance. Built in the 19th century, it reflects a unique architectural style for the region. The Duchess, a supporter of the Greek revolution, purchased extensive land in Attica and constructed several palaces, including Rododafni. Although she passed away before its completion, the castle has a rich history, including renovations in the 20th century that transformed it into a cultural center. Today, it serves as a venue for events and a library, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
