RAJUK Bhaban

RAJUK Bhaban, located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, serves as the headquarters for the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha, the capital development authority. Established in 1956, originally as the Dhaka Improvement Trust (DIT), it has historical significance as the site of the first television transmissions in East Pakistan. Designed by architect Abdulhusein M. Thariani, the building showcases a unique architectural style from the Pakistan period, featuring a six-story main building and an eight-story annex connected by a bridge. Following renovations post-2000, RAJUK Bhaban stands as a testament to the region's architectural heritage, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
