Eberly Hall

Eberly Hall is a historic academic building located on the University of Pittsburgh campus, dedicated in 1921 and originally known as Alumni Hall. Designed by architect Benno Janssen, it was built to accommodate a surge of students during World War I and has since undergone several renovations. The building is named after the Eberly family, who have significantly supported the university. Eberly Hall has housed various departments, including Chemistry and Psychology, and currently features the Chemistry library and a memorial room for chemist Alexander Lowy. Visitors can appreciate its architectural significance and the role it plays in supporting educational activities at the university.
