Samuel Chamberlain House

The Samuel Chamberlain House, located at 3 Winthrop Street in Stoneham, Massachusetts, is a historic Italianate side-hall style house built around 1864. It is one of only three well-preserved examples of this architectural style in the area and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The house features a distinctive dormered gable roof and original granite posts lining the sidewalk. Built for Samuel W. Chamberlain, an inventor known for his shoe manufacturing machinery, the house reflects the historical significance of the region's industrial past. Despite some loss of original features, it remains an important landmark for visitors interested in local history and architecture.
