Goodall Wooten House

The Goodall Wooten House, built between 1898 and 1900 in Austin, Texas, is a stunning example of Classical Revival architecture set within beautiful gardens. Originally the home of Dr. Goodall H. Wooten and his wife Ella, the house has a rich history, serving various roles including a student residence, a chemical dependency treatment center, and now a boutique hotel known as Hotel Ella. The mansion features three stories, a basement with servant quarters, and has undergone significant renovations, including a major expansion in 1910. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, making it a notable destination for tourists and researchers interested in Texas history and architecture.
