Ca' Farsetti

Ca' Farsetti is a historic palace located in the heart of Venice, Italy, facing the Grand Canal near the iconic Ponte di Rialto. Built in the 13th century by the heirs of doge Enrico Dandolo, it has a rich history marked by a devastating fire in 1524 and subsequent renovations, including the addition of two floors by Federigo Contarini. Acquired by the Farsetti family in the 17th century, it served as an academy in the 18th century and was later converted into a hotel before becoming municipal property in 1926. Architecturally, the palace showcases a blend of Venetian-Byzantine and Renaissance styles, featuring a striking portico with Corinthian columns and a grand piano nobile with fifteen arcades. Notably, Ca' Farsetti was the venue for the wedding of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin in 2014, adding to its allure as a site of cultural significance.
