Charles Springer Tavern

The Charles Springer Tavern, also known as the Oak Hill Inn, is a historic tavern located near Wilmington, Delaware. This charming two-story building showcases a blend of log and stone construction, evolving through four major phases from 1750 to 1850. Visitors can admire its vernacular Federal style and explore the oldest section, a log structure, alongside a stone addition from around 1780. The property also features the ruins of a stone barn and springhouse, along with a historic mileage marker indicating its distance from Wilmington.
