Spirit Lake Public Library

The Spirit Lake Public Library, located in downtown Spirit Lake, Iowa, is a historic site that showcases early 20th-century architecture. Established in 1901, it became a public library in 1904 with the help of a grant from the Carnegie Corporation. The library, dedicated in 1912, features Tudor Revival elements and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Although the library has since moved to a new location, the original building remains a significant landmark, now serving as commercial space, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
