Wigglesworth Building

The Wigglesworth Building, located at 89-83 Franklin Street in Boston's Financial District, is a historic Neo-Gothic structure built in 1873. It was one of the first buildings to be reconstructed after the Great Boston Fire of 1872. Designed by Nathaniel Bradlee, the building showcases a distinctive curving red panel brick facade adorned with intricate sandstone details. An additional top floor, added in 1885 and designed by Peabody & Stearns, features elegant arched windows. The building was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a noteworthy site for tourists and researchers interested in Boston's architectural heritage.
