Schumann House, Leipzig

The Schumann House in Leipzig, Germany, is a historic cultural site where renowned musicians Robert and Clara Schumann lived during the early years of their marriage from 1840 to 1844. Constructed in 1838 in Neoclassical style, the building features exhibition rooms that showcase the couple's life and work, including the Schumann Salon, the Travel Room highlighting their concert tours, and the Sound Room with an interactive installation. Notable guests such as Felix Mendelssohn and Franz Liszt visited the Schumanns here, and it was during this period that Robert composed significant works like the Spring Symphony and Piano Quintet. Today, the building also houses the Clara Schumann primary school.
