The Cruise Room (basement bar at the Oxford Hotel)

The Cruise Room occupies a basement space in the Oxford Hotel and features an Art Deco interior modeled after an ocean liner. The bar opened on December 5, 1933, immediately after the repeal of Prohibition and has operated continuously in the hotel’s subterranean level since that time. It is one of Denver’s longest-running cocktail lounges located below street level.
