Pita Kotte Gal Ambalama

Pita Kotte Gal Ambalama is a historic wayside rest located at Pita Kotte junction in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Sri Lanka. This archaeological monument served as a resting place for visitors to the ancient capital of the Kotte kingdom and the Kotte Raja Maha Vihara. Dating back to the Kotte period, it is mentioned in a 1413 map of the kingdom. Although recently relocated due to road widening, it remains a significant site for those interested in Sri Lanka's rich history.
