Grateful Dead House (710 Ashbury)

710 Ashbury Street in the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood was occupied by members of the Grateful Dead in the mid-1960s and served as an informal gathering place for the band and fellow musicians during the Summer of Love. The house is frequently cited in histories of San Francisco's 1960s counterculture and rock music scene. It remains a private residence but is identified in numerous documented accounts of the era's local music culture.
