Drouillard House

The Drouillard House, located in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee, is a historic Italianate-style residence built between 1868 and 1870. Originally a summer retreat for Nashville socialite Mary Florence Kirkman and her husband, Captain James Pierre Drouillard, the house is notable for its grand architecture, including a 100-foot veranda and a three-story spiral staircase. The Drouillard couple hosted lavish gatherings for prominent guests and contributed to the local community by funding a church and school. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1977, the house is part of the Cumberland Furnace Historic District, which has deep historical roots dating back to the establishment of the Cumberland Iron Works in 1795.
