Book-Cadillac Hotel (Louis Kamper grand hotel)

The Book-Cadillac Hotel, a 33-story landmark designed by Louis Kamper, opened in 1924 and exemplifies early-20th-century grand hotel architecture in Detroit. After decades of decline and vacancy, the building was fully restored and reopened as The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit in 2008. Its ornate façade and grand public spaces reflect Beaux-Arts and Renaissance Revival design influences.
