Shadow Ranch

Shadow Ranch is a historic site located in the West Hills community of Los Angeles, California, originally built between 1869 and 1872. This adobe and redwood ranch house was once part of a vast 9,000-acre wheat farm and has connections to Hollywood, having been owned by notable screenwriters and used as a filming location. The ranch is surrounded by eucalyptus trees, some of which were planted by its first owner, Albert Workman, who is credited with introducing this species to California. Today, Shadow Ranch operates as a city park and events venue, recognized as a Historic-Cultural Monument, and is known for its alleged hauntings, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers alike.
