1812 North Moore is a striking office building located in Arlington, Virginia, notable for being the tallest structure in the Washington metropolitan area since its completion in late 2013. Developed by Monday Properties, this 39-story building stands at 484 feet and features a modern design that was inspired by international architecture. Originally proposed in 2005, it faced controversy over its height, particularly due to its proximity to the Washington Monument and its location in the flight path of Washington National Airport. The building has historical significance as it replaced the former 11-story 1815 North Fort Myer Drive and was named to commemorate the War of 1812. In a significant move, Nestle USA announced in 2017 that it would relocate its headquarters to this landmark, marking a new chapter for the building that had remained vacant for several years.
