The Benson Hotel (historic downtown Beaux-Arts hotel)

The Benson Hotel opened in 1913, built by entrepreneur Simon Benson and executed in a Beaux-Arts-influenced style. The 14-story downtown hotel has hosted numerous dignitaries and performers and retains many original interior details following multiple renovations. It is a long-standing landmark in Portland's hospitality and civic history.
