United States Botanic Garden - historic national conservatory

The United States Botanic Garden was authorized by Congress in 1820 and is one of the oldest botanic gardens in the United States. Its Conservatory and outdoor gardens at the National Mall display living plant collections used for public education, research, and conservation. The site includes a demonstration National Garden and hosts rotating seasonal exhibits and plant-focused public programs.
