Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum art heist

On March 18, 1990 two men posing as police officers entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and stole 13 works of art, including Vermeer's The Concert and Rembrandt's The Storm on the Sea of Galilee. The stolen pieces are estimated to be worth around $500 million, making it one of the largest art thefts in history. The theft remains unsolved; the museum continues to offer a reward and the FBI maintains an open investigation.
