Merestone

Merestone, also known as the John S. Reese, IV, House, is a historic estate straddling the border of Pennsylvania and Delaware. This remarkable property includes the main house, a guest house, a milk house, and a stone shed. Originally built between 1720 and 1734, the house showcases Colonial Revival architectural elements, thanks to renovations by architect R. Brognard Okie in the early 1940s. The estate was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and history.
