Scott's Store

Scott's Store was a historic commercial building near Bridgeville, Delaware, built in 1875 and known for its simplified Victorian Gothic style. Founded by Charles Manlove Scott, who opened the store daily at 4 a.m., it served the community until his retirement in 1915. The store was a key part of local history, reflecting the 19th-century country store culture of southern Delaware. Although now demolished, it was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
