Graffiti Park at Castle Hill (former HOPE Outdoor Gallery site)

Graffiti Park at Castle Hill, commonly called the HOPE Outdoor Gallery, was an outdoor public graffiti and street-art site located at 1008 Baylor St that became a popular, heavily photographed public-art space in Austin. The park showcased rotating murals and allowed artists and visitors to paint sections of the walls; it closed in 2019 as the site underwent redevelopment. The park's existence and closure have been widely reported in local and national media as part of debates over public art and urban development in Austin.
