Pioneer Building (Pioneer Square)

The Pioneer Building in Pioneer Square was constructed in 1892 as part of the neighborhood's rebuilding after the Great Seattle Fire of 1889. Designed by architect Elmer H. Fisher, it is a Romanesque Revival brick and terra-cotta commercial building notable for its arched windows and decorative cornice. The building is a contributing property within the Pioneer Square Historic District, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and has housed offices and retail spaces since its completion.
