National Bonsai & Penjing Museum at the U.S. National Arboretum

The National Bonsai & Penjing Museum, located on the U.S. National Arboretum grounds, displays living bonsai and penjing collections donated from Japan, China, and U.S. enthusiasts and is open to the public. The museum's outdoor displays include traditional stone lanterns, ceramic pieces, and companion plantings that are treated as living landscape art. The Arboretum and its bonsai collection have been part of cultural exchange programs and public education since the mid-20th century.
