Torrey Pines Gliderport cliffside overlook

The Torrey Pines Gliderport sits on the sandstone cliffs above Black's Beach and provides a prominent cliff-top viewpoint used for watching hang gliders, paragliders, and sunset views over the Pacific. The gliderport's launch area and adjacent terraces look directly west across the ocean and are often less crowded than nearby beach-level overlooks. It is operated commercially with lessons and tandem flights, and its elevated position has been used for film and photography shoots.
