Alexander House (Boise, Idaho)

The Alexander House is a historic Queen Anne style residence built in 1897 for Moses Alexander, who served as mayor of Boise and later as governor of Idaho. Inspired by a newspaper illustration, the house features distinctive gables and was constructed by two local carpenters. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 and became state property in 1977, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in Idaho's architectural and political history.
