Former British Consulate at Takao

The Former British Consulate at Takao, built in 1865, is a historic site located in Gushan District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Perched on the peak of Shaochuantou, it offers stunning views of Sizihwan Bay and the Port of Kaohsiung. Originally established as a consulate following the Treaty of Peking, it has undergone various transformations, including serving as an observatory and a museum.
