Brecknock (Camden, Delaware)

Brecknock, also known as Howell's Mill Seat, is a historic house located near Camden, Delaware, showcasing a unique blend of architectural styles from different centuries. The house consists of four sections, including two brick and two frame structures, with the original one-room brick section possibly dating back to before 1700. Significant additions were made in the 1740s and mid-18th century, with the final frame section added in the 1880s, originally serving as an apartment for a wagon driver. This historic site was recognized for its significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, making it an interesting destination for tourists and researchers alike.
