Vestergade 7, Copenhagen

Vestergade 7 is a historic Neoclassical building complex located in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark, near Gammeltorv. Constructed in 1798 after the Copenhagen Fire of 1795, it was designed by royal building inspector Andreas Kirkerup. The site has a rich history, previously housing medieval fortifications and undergoing several transformations over the centuries. Notable former residents include master builder Johan Boye Junge and archeologist Peter Oluf Brøndsted. Today, it serves as the home of the Danish Institute for Study Abroad, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring Copenhagen's architectural heritage and historical significance.
