Jessie Ball duPont Center

The Jessie Ball duPont Center, located in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, is a historic nonprofit complex that was originally the main branch of the Jacksonville Public Library from 1965 to 2005. Designed by local architect Taylor Hardwick, the building features unique architectural elements, including colorful murals and distinctive 'fins' that resemble piano keys. After its closure, the building underwent several ownership changes before being purchased by the Jessie Ball duPont Fund in 2013. It is now a philanthropic hub, housing various nonprofit organizations and promoting collaboration among them. The center aims to provide affordable office space and resources for nonprofits, making it a significant asset for the community.
