Field of Empty Chairs at the Oklahoma City National Memorial

The Oklahoma City National Memorial's Field of Empty Chairs comprises 168 empty chairs, each representing a person killed in the April 19, 1995 bombing. The chairs are arranged in nine rows to reflect the floors of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and include smaller chairs representing the children who died. The outdoor memorial, which also includes the Gates of Time and the Reflecting Pool, was dedicated on April 19, 2000.
