Thomas F. and Nancy Tuttle House

The Thomas F. and Nancy Tuttle House, also known as the Tuttle Cabin, is a historic log cabin located in Pella, Iowa, built in 1843. As the oldest building in Pella, it served as a farmhouse for Thomas Tuttle's homestead claim before being purchased by Pella's founder, Dominie Henry P. Scholte, in 1847. The cabin has a rich history, having been home to the Sneller family from 1912 to 1973, and was later acquired by Robert Van Vark. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015 and is now owned by the Pella Preservation Trust, making it a significant site for tourists and researchers interested in early Iowa settlement and Dutch immigrant history.
