Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) building

The Museum of Pop Culture, founded as the Experience Music Project by Paul Allen and housed in a Frank Gehry–designed building, is located at Seattle Center and focuses on contemporary popular culture exhibits. Its distinctive, curving, metal-clad exterior is a common subject of artistic photography and has been widely shared and referenced online in memes and visual commentary. The museum opened in 2000 and continues to host rotating exhibitions on music, film, and interactive media.
