David Stott Building (1929 Art Deco skyscraper)

Completed in 1929, the David Stott Building is a 38-story Art Deco skyscraper designed by the firm Donaldson and Meier. It was among Detroit's tallest buildings at the time and is noted for its vertical emphasis and decorative crown. The building has been the focus of redevelopment efforts to return historic office floors to active commercial and residential use, illustrating adaptive reuse of early 20th-century urban infrastructure.
