Center for Wooden Boats on Lake Union

The Center for Wooden Boats is a nonprofit maritime museum and education center on the south shore of Lake Union that preserves, displays and operates traditional wooden boats. It offers public boat rentals, free small-boat sailing lessons, hands-on educational programs and volunteer restoration projects. The center's docks and historic vessels provide an intimate, less-visible access point to Seattle's maritime heritage.
