Wangenheim Palace

Wangenheim Palace, located in the Mitte district of Hanover, Germany, is a historic building originally constructed between 1829 and 1832. Designed by Georg Ludwig Friedrich Laves, it served as a residence for Georg Christian von Wangenheim before becoming the town hall from 1863 to 1913. The palace has a rich history, including a period as a royal residence for George V of Hanover. Although it was severely damaged during World War II, it was rebuilt and now houses the Lower Saxon Ministry of Economic Affairs. Notable features include a winter garden added in 1844 and a unique bus stop designed by Massimo Iosa Ghini that was part of an art project until 2013.
