Henry Higginson House

The Henry Higginson House, a stunning Tudor Revival mansion located in Lincoln, Massachusetts, was built between 1905 and 1906 for Alexander Henry Higginson. Designed by architect Julian Ingersoll Chamberlain, this historic home is part of a larger estate that once encompassed lands described by Henry David Thoreau. The house remained in the Higginson family until 1933 and was privately owned until 1992, when it was acquired by the Walden Woods Project, which focuses on preserving the surrounding area. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history and literature.
