Santry Court

Santry Court, a Georgian house located in north County Dublin, was built between 1703 and 1709 on the site of an earlier medieval residence. Originally part of a larger estate acquired by the Barry family in the early 1600s, the house showcases a blend of architectural styles, particularly Palladian, with notable features such as a grand entrance and intricately designed interiors. The estate has a rich history, including ownership by various noble families and significant renovations over the centuries. In the 20th century, the house fell into disrepair and was ultimately demolished in 1959, but the grounds have since been transformed into a public park, preserving some of the estate's follies and gardens. Today, visitors can explore the remnants of this historic site and enjoy its scenic landscapes.
